On a unfaired bike like the GS, even a well
designed windscreen provides, at best, just minimal protection for a driver and
passenger. That's why we design Half Fairings for the GS's. In our
opinion, the Half Fairing design is the only way to create an envelope of
protection for a driver, or 2-up, that provides an unequalled level of comfort.
Our Half Fairing offers over the helmet airflow with no turbulence, no buffeting
and no back pressure. Protection you can't attain with just a windscreen.
●The
Upper Windscreen portion allows airflow to the backside of the windscreen.
This airflow combines with the air traveling on the front of the screen at the "flare" or "lip", pushing the air up and over your helmet.
●Upper
Windscreen portion available in 4 heights: Standard, Medium, Tall & Extra Tall.
●Heights measured vertically from top, front edge of gas tank.
Standard: 18 1/8" - For drivers up to 5'10"
Medium: 19 3/8" - For drivers up to 6'
Tall: 20 1/2" - For drivers up to 6'2"
X-Tall: 22 5/8" - For drivers 6'3" and up
●The
Fairing Body directs air down, out and away from the rider. The Fairing
Body delivers
lower torso protection and expands the envelope of protection.
●Fairing
Body available in Clear or Smoke. Clear Body is paintable to match your
bike.
Painting: Simply spray the backside of the Body portion with spray paint made for plastics.

Body width, measured horizontally with yard stick.

●R1150GS
Half Fairing includes Mini-Wings. The Mini Wings deflect the air that
comes up between the back of the fairing and front of the gas tank. Mini
Wings attach with Dual-Lok at underside of AeroFlow mounting bracket.
●Textured,
black powder coated finish brackets attach to underside of stock oil cooler
mounting holes and stock windscreen mounting holes.
●Mounting
brackets are pre drilled to accept small, one post, driving lights. Larger
lights can be accommodated with modifications, ie. cutting the Fairing Body,
making an adapter plate or dropping the lights down until they clear the body.
Do not drill holes larger than 3/8" diameter in bracket, this will weaken the
bracket base.
●For
the AeroFlow R1150GS Half Fairing to work on the Adventure model, a few
stock pieces need to be changed back to the original R1150GS pieces. These
pieces are available from any BMW Dealer.
