Dear Paige and Co.,
Thanks for your technical help and the quality of your windscreen for my
2002 R1150R. The touring windscreen (with bat wings) is an incredible
product. I am so pleased; I can't wait for the weather to get cold so I can
appreciate the protection even more. The windscreen looks great and
thoroughly protects the rider. No buffeting, quiet ride and awesome
protection. Thanks for making a great bike even better.
Keep up the good work,

Since I ride almost year-round, I like my
fairing to protect me, yet not buffet my ride… so when I purchased a 2004
R1150R I sought the largest fairing. In my first issue of BMW ON… pow!
There is the AeroFlow Touring Fairing. While a bit pricey, the marketing and
reputation makes it seemed justified. So with the help of Christine at
AeroFlow I put the plastic down and waited those 5 days for its timely
arrival.
READ THE DIRECTIONS FIRST!… BUT there I was with MOTO Technique Handle Bar
Risers (1” rise and 1.25” setback)…oops, what now? Well, a quick call to
AeroFlow has me directly in touch with “Paige” the patient designer who
informs me that (as the most clear instructions this teacher has ever seen
shows) my kit is ONLY designed for the ‘standard’ handlebar bracket.
Too bad, I want this max-fairing… what can we do? After some phone calls I
fax Paige a potential solution that uses the cast off parts of my original
Handlebar bracket and the MOTO riser pieces with the addition of a couple of
pairs of 8mm SS bolts… he modifies my picture, and off we go, STEP 1, 2,…!
No worries, since the kit’s top mounting bar can effectively sit on top of
the standard fork plate’s lower bracket and under all the MOTO rises… Just
need those two pairs of new bolts!
Wow, not only are the instructions absolutely spot on, with great
pictorials, cautions and EVERY part of the kit labeled with each step’s
components in separate itemized labeled ziplock bags , but the darn thing
REALLY works.
While I am not sure about the tank wings (must wait 72 hours to check their
effects), the rest of the tall full touring fairing keeps me in the quiet
zone, unbuffeted by direct or lateral gusts. Good quality craftsmanship, and
personal service throughout the many-phone calls should make any serious BMW
fairing hunter go directly to AeroFlow!
Now my R1150R is smooth riding, thanks to good design, patient customer
service, good detailed and easily understood instructions. Helmets on and a
grand salute to this helpful family firm.

My Mom knows Best.
I have a beautiful BMW 2002 R1150R and I enjoy traveling very much. I
installed a BMW Sports screen on the bike but did not get much protection
from the wind. Soon I got a BMW Touring screen, but the buffering was too
much to handle. I went through three different helmets and many, many
expensive ear plugs until I got the situation under control, I thought. In
my late bike traveling throughout United States and Canada, I stopped to see
my 75 year old Mom, who is a seasoned motorcycle rider and has a great love
and admiration for bikes. Somehow it came up in the conversation that I am
getting old and it is getting harder and harder to do 700-800 mile a day
trips. My Mom took one look at my bike and said: "You are too young to get
tired from an 800 mile ride; you just have the wrong windshield on this
bike. Your Dad would never travel long distance with a screen like that." I
had to listen to my Mother. After all, she spent 35 years riding with my Dad
all over the Europe, Asia and Siberia. I searched the Internet for a better
windshield and found an AEROFLOW. I was very skeptical about the shield but
ordered it anyway, since all the other shields on the market looked almost
like my BMW Touring screen. Finally the BIG box arrived and I thought that
here comes my new barn door. To my surprise, the windscreen looked very nice
and the hardware is very sturdy with an excellent finish. Installation
instructions are very easy to follow. In a short time my new AEROFLOW
Touring windshield was installed and it actually matched my bike very well
and looked very nice too. My wife calls it a BATMOBILE now. I could not wait
to take my bike for a test ride. I drove 30 miles to my BMW dealership and
was surprise to hear that my mirrors are wobbling and it is so nice and
quiet behind the windshield. No buffering and no wind hitting me in the
chest. After arriving to my destination I realized that in the hurry I
forgot to put my earplugs in. This is the first time I rode my bike without
earplugs.
Thank you AEROFLOW and the GOOD PEOPLE who designed such a wonderful
windshield.
P.S. I am really glad that I listen to my Mom.
